Six months before the her life threatening accident, Rize Kamishiro lived in 11th Ward. Her activities attracted the attention of the ghoul investigators and made them move to that ward. She decided to leave when the ghoul investigators started to act. Before she left, she killed Hagi, the leader of the ghouls of 11th Ward, and two other ghouls.

Before she arrived in the 11th Ward, she also spent time in the 17th, 18th, and 6th Wards. She seems to have been friends with Orca.

Her Kagune is special because it has an over powered regenerating . She is able to summon up to six tentacle claws. While slim, each claw can cut deeply enough to fatally injure anyone effortlessly, human or ghoul.

Rize Kamishiro is a ghoul that always hang out at Anteiku. She set her eyes on Ken Kaneki, but moments before eating him, she was injured in an accident and her organs were transplanted into Kaneki, making him half-ghoul.

Rize is also known under her nickname Binge Eater because of her eating habits, Rize was a threat to most ghouls of the 11th ward and 20th ward.
